1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address, display name, and optional profile photo.

Waitlist. If you join our waitlist, we collect your email address to notify you when Timefly launches.

Photos and captures. The photos you take within Timefly are stored on your device and, if you opt in, synced to our servers so you can access them across devices and share your timelapses.

Usage data. We collect anonymized usage data such as app opens, feature usage, and crash reports to improve the app.

Location (optional). If you enable sunset reminders, we request your approximate location to calculate sunset times. This data is processed on-device and not stored on our servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Timefly service
• Sync your captures across devices
• Send you reminders you've opted into (e.g., daily capture reminders, sunset alerts)
• Generate your timelapse videos
• Notify waitlist subscribers about launch updates
• Communicate important updates about the service

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your photos and account data are stored securely using industry-standard encryption. Captures are stored locally on your device first, then synced to our cloud infrastructure if you enable sync.

We use enterprise-grade infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit.

4. Sharing and Social Features

Timefly includes social features that let you share timelapse projects with other users. Content you share publicly can be viewed by other Timefly users. You control what you share — projects are private by default.

5. Your Rights

You can:

• Access, update, or delete your account and data at any time
• Export your photos and timelapse videos
• Opt out of non-essential communications
• Request removal from the waitlist at any time
• Request a copy of all data we hold about you

6. Camera and Notifications

Timefly requests camera access to let you take captures for your projects. We request notification permissions only when you set up reminders. Both permissions are optional and can be changed in your device settings at any time.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes through the app or by email.

8. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada.
